The Scallion's latest offering, "Agony Through Ceremony," is a collection of songs that were written and recorded over a five-year period. These songs showcase the band's love of 60's and 70's pop music with a modern twist. Some of the darker edges along the way reflect the sense of loss that they experienced with the passing of loved ones during that time. Although the Franklin brothers refer to themselves as an avant-garde power pop band, they consider this a true pop record, even though their avant-garde side still manages to peek through.
